I am quite amazed with the progress of communication facilities availabilty to the present mankind.
As I was born in 1955, I saw the written mail being sent by post/mail. I also waited at Main Post Office to send a telegram which used to reach the destination once's its purpose is already over.
I also waited for my turn after booking for a call.
Slowly, I think because of initiative of Dr sam Pitroda, telecommunications improved in 80s and 90s of the last century.
Then the mobile telephones revolutioned the comminications.
When I was in Mazar-i-Sharif, in Northern Afghanistan, in the year 2002,I was given a Satellite Mobile instrument and I was amazed to know its capacity to contact any body in the world with a telephone facility.
Ofcourse, the INTERNET did wonders to the communications. I do not think, I have got enough words to describe its amazing capacity.
